Day 21: Concord & 9th To The Point

Lori: The Dies in the Concord & 9th “To The Point” Turnabout set are so fun and just adorable! I decided to feature them on the front of a card for my Aunt & Uncle’s 70th anniversary. That’s no typo, they’ve been together 70 years! Love them to bits, too! Base & cactus – GKD Fresh Asparagus, the other cactus is GKD Dark Sage. THe stamped mat is GKD Kraft, and I wanted a subtle background, so used a few pale ink colors for the turnabout. The hearts and flowers are GKD Innocent Pink and Coral Reef. I stamped in GKD Jet Black Amalgam, then a layer of Versamark and heat embossed in WOW clear super fine embossing powder. YOU try using black embossing powder without staining the cardstock and let me know how that goes!

Devyn: I love Concord & 9th Turnabouts, they’re so much fun! They made it easier now that they have alignment guides and jigs that have lines that help you line it up. These cacti are so fun and cute! I started with a Gina K Designs Peach Bellini cardstock base. Next, I cut a Jellybean Green cardstock layer. For the turnabout, I used Gina K Designs Sweet Mango, Fresh Asparagus, Charcoal Brown and Peach Bellini inks on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80#.
