Day 22: Altenew Billowing Blossoms

This little surprise from Altenew is so fun to use. We were so thrilled to receive this little set in the mail one day in December as a thank you from the company, and can’t stop making cards with it! Lori: After playing with this a few times using bold color inks, I decided to go for a pastel version. I started with a base of My Favorite Things Pink Lemonade (discontinued) cardstock, a simple layer from MFT Lemon Chiffon, and I stamped on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80# cardstock. I used Altenew inks in Forest Glade, Frayed leaf, Evening Gray, Pink Diamond, and buttercream. The sentiment is from the Altenew Whispy Begonia stamp set in Evergreen ink.

Devyn: Like I said in my Botanical Backdrop post, I don’t have to send out many sympathy cards but I like to have some ready. With this card, I was trying the CAS method (Clean and Simple) and like the other, this probably took about 15 minutes to make! I started with a Gina K. Design Kraft cardstock base. I used Tim Holtz Forest Moss Distress Oxide for each of the leaves and let that dry. Next, I used Tim Holtz Distress Picket Fence to stamp the flowers petals and let that dry. I finished the flower by Tim Holtz Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide. The ‘with sympathy’ is from Avery Elle With Sympathy die with navy cardstock.
