Today, we both used Altenew Simple flowers for quick cards.
Lori: I wanted to feature just one flower from the Altenew Simple Flowers stamp set. The rose caught my eye today (Although the hubs says it looks like a purple onion!), and I gravitate to Gina K Design Plum Punch cardstock! I started with a GKD Lovely Lavender base and used the Altenew Cross Stitched Canvas die on My Favorite Things Brown Paper Bag (Yet another discontinued color!) cardstock. The GKD Plum Punch layer was die cut with the MFT Inside & Out Stitched Oval Stax die set. The sentiment die is Altenew Simply Thank You in GKD Slate, coated with Wink of Stella. I hate that it always looks like slug trails in photos! The Simple flower & leaf were stamped on MFT Brown Paper Bag with Distress Oxide inks in Seedless Preserves (which perfectly matched the Plum Punch cardstock!) and Forest Moss. I fussy cut the leaf and flower.
Devyn: I love how simple this stamp set is! I’m using this set as a ‘get well’ because you can never have too many get well cards. I used Gina K Design Lemon Drop base and die cut the Sunny Studios Frilly Frames with GKD Sea Glass. I stamped Altenew Simple Flowers on Neenah 80# Classic Crest Solar White with Mustard Seed, Barn Door, Picked Raspberry and Lucky Clover Distress Oxide. I finished off with ‘Get Well’ from Ways to Say Get Well from Picket Fence using GKD Jet Black Almagam Ink.
