Lori: Once again, I took a big stamp set and used one tiny part of it! As much as I love cacti/succulents, This little vase and plant is my favorite part of the set. My base is Gina K Design Blue Denim and both layers are cut with dies from the Lawn Fawn Small Dotted Rectangle Stackables, first in My Favorite Things Blue Breeze, Then in MFT Natural. The Altenew Simply Thinking of You die is in GKD Blue Denim also. I stamped the outline with GKD Jet Black Amalgam, the water with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide, and the leaves with Twisted Citron Distress Oxide. I fussy cut the stamp and added foam tape to make it dimensional.
Devyn: I love Altenew’s layering sets, they’re easy to use with the guide that is included. I used Gina K Designs Honey Mustard cardstock for my base, Gina K Layering Ivory for the stamped layer. I used Altenew Espresso ink for the shelf, Jet Black, Milk Chocolate, Grass Field, and Firefly for the first plant, Jet Black, Olive, and Almond Butter for the catcus, and Mocha, Rocky Shores, Jet Black, Forest Glades, and Bamboo for the middle planter. I cut the ‘welcome’ die from Honey Bee Welcome home out of Gina K Honey Mustard. I used ‘on your new home’ sentiment from Pink Avenue from Pink & Main with Gina K Jet Black Amalgam. This card was a lot of fun to make and helped me to expand my color layering abilities.
