Day 4: Altenew Anemone Coronaria & The Ton City Girls Book Life

Lori: This was our first Altenew set that included the new layering guides and sample cards, so I just decided to go with one of them for practice. Here’s the result! I used Gina K Designs Dusty Rose Cardstock for the base, and Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80# cardstock for the stamped layer. For inks, I used Gina K Jet Black Amalgam, Altenew Coral Bliss and Pink Diamond for the flowers, Forest Glades for the leaves, and Silver Stone for the centers.

Devyn: This is one of my favorite cards that I’ve made. This stamp set is just so darling! You can use different stamps in the set so she’s holding books or flowers and her skirts can have different patterns and/or color layers. I really liked the comforting idea of a “thinking of you” card with the huge bouquets of flowers. I started off with a Gina K Designs Applemint cardstock base, taped it down in my MISTI and used The Ton Haute Stripes background stamp with Hero Arts Unicorn White Pigment Ink. I inked it several times for complete coverage. I then used Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80# with Gina Marie Designs Stitched Rectangles to cut the rectangle layer. I used a sentiment from the Hero Arts March 2018 My Monthly Hero kit (which is one of my favorites!) for the ‘Thinking of You’ sentiment with GKD Jet Black Amalgam ink. The skirt outline, legs and flowers are GKD Black Amalgam ink and the polka dot pattern for her skirt is GKD Applemint. I colored the bouquet of flowers, legs, and shoes with Prismacolor pencils.
