Day 52 Card A Day 2019: Newton’s Nook Slothy Coffee

Lori: This is one of Devyn’s favorite stamps, for good reason! Some mornings, we’re both just like this! I started off with a base of My Favorite Things Warm Cocoa cardstock, then took a piece of Gina K Designs Sandy Beach 100# for a Layer. I used  Tim Holtz Splatters stencil with Gathered twigs distress oxide to make the coffee splashes. I stamped the sloth with Gina K Designs Jet Black Amalgam ink, then colored with these Copic markers: E31, E33, E35, E37, and E39 for the sloth, W8 for his nose, BG34, BG15, BG45 and BG49 for the cup. I cut a square of MFT Warm Cocoa with MFT Die-namics Inside & Out Stitched Square STAX, then cut the center out with Memory Box Small Circle Burst and glued that over the sloth.

Devyn: I was drinking my coffee the whole time I made this card and related to this set! I started with Gina K Designs Red Hot cardstock base. Next, I heat embossed My Favorite Things Confetti Background with Wow Super Fine Clear Embossing Powder on Gina K Designs Wild Dandelion. I colored the sloth and cup with Copic Markers. The cup I used YG13, YG17, YR04, and YR07. The Sloth I used YR23, YR27, C1, and C7. I brought back the Wild Dandelion and die cut it with Lawn Fawn Small Dotted Circle Stackables. Again, I brought back the Red hot and die cut that with Lawn Fawn Fancy Scalloped Circle Stackables. Lastly, I die cut out the sentiment with Spellbinders Wonky Rectangles.
