Day 9: Impression Obsession Blue Footed and a Tissue Box

Lori: I’ve wanted to color this stamp for a long time and didn’t quite have the coloring skills to do it justice. After taking classes from an amazing instructor, Sandy Allnock, at, I’ve practiced a lot. Coupled with Kathy Rac’s The 30 Day Coloring Challenge twice a year, I finally feel like I can color a little better than a kindergartener (Well, some of them are probably still better than me!). I stamped Impression Obsession Blue Footed bird and sentiment with Gina K Designs Jet Black Amalgam ink on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80# cardstock. I masked him off and stamped the Stamping Bella Beach Background. I added clouds with MFT Mini Cloud Edges Stencil in Stormy Sky Distress Oxide ink and highlighted the clouds with warm gray Copic markers. I colored the rest of the scene with Copic markers – I promise to include colors in the future! I forgot to write these down. I made the base with MFT Gravel Gray cardstock, and cut the frame from Pink & Main Cloudy Frames die set in MFT Steel Gray. The coloring took a while to do, but assembling this card took about 5 minutes!

Devyn: We got a Silhouette Cameo 2 when we first started making cards about 2 years ago, and before we got many of the supplies we have today. I really like the Cameo because you can cut out pretty much any shape and make things however you want. The store has so many awesome files that are easy to put together. I really like the Lori Whitlock file Get Well Card Tissue box (File ID 203173) because I can make many of these and they can have different looks. I kept this one very simple, I used a Gina K Designs Kraft cardstock as a base and I cut Gina K’s Ocean Mist and Cherry Red from the Cameo. The ‘get well soon’ was a Print & Cut from the same file. The tissue is an actual part of a tissue and took a little time to get it folded neatly but it looks super cute! This doesn’t need instructions to put together, it was very straight forward and simple.
