I colored with these Copic markers: B000, C00, C1, C3, Y13, Y15, Y17, YR24, TG23 & YG25. I used Gina K Designs Slate cardstock for the mat and Wild Dandelion for the base.

Devyn: I just love these flowers! I had some time today to play with these to see what I would like to do. This was fairly simple to put together. I started with a Gina K Designs Applemint base, I stamped Simon Says Says Stamp Reverse Polka Dot Background and inked it with Gina K Designs Applemint dye ink. Friday- Day 95 – Concord & 9th Shiplap Sentiments

Lori: Who doesn’t love shiplap?! I love cards that are not too flowery or overly embellished. Simple, yet striking. This set makes it easy to make cards that are not overly feminine. Besides this Concord & 9th stamp set, everything else I used is from Gina K Designs. The base is Stormy Sky cardstock, the stamped layer, Whisper. The stripes and his sentiments are Stormy Sky ink, the small sentiment is Tranquil Teal, and the leaves are Fresh Asparagus.

Devyn: Simple is always best! This card was really simple to make. I started with a Gina K Designs 120# Ivory cardstock base, stamped the shiplap stripes with Amalgam Chocolate Truffle ink. I stamped the sentiment from the set on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80lb, inked the ‘hello’ with Ocean Mist, cut it out with scissors, and stamped the ‘friend’ with Ocean Mist. It looked like it was missing something, I stamped the leaves from the set in Gina K Designs Jelly Bean Green.

Wednesday – Day 93 – Silhouette Baby Cards

Lori: A Silhouette Cameo makes cards so simple! I chose the Baby Dresser Card by Lori Whitlock Design Store ID #204361. It’s such a cute easel style card. I used tiny brads for the knobs, and kept  the whole thing basic. I love using My Favorite Things or Gina K Designs cardstock. Both always cut super easy. You’ll have to play with the settings, but we always use the blade set to 7, slow speed to 1, depth to 33, and double cut.

Devyn: It’s been really busy here and Silhouette cards are the best for when your busy just load your paper, cut and put it together. This card is super cute and will be great for when one of my friends or family has a boy. I used Baby Boy Onesie Laundry Card Kit by Lori Whitlock File #24919 and used various patterned papers for the onesies.

Thursday – Day 94 – Hero Arts My Monthly Hero – March Card Kit

Lori: I wanted to try something with this kit that did not include the frame die, so I went with a feature oval in muted shades of blue. My goal was to make it look like you’re looking through a window to an aquarium when the lights are low. I used distress oxides for all the background and stamping in the oval (My Favorite Things Inside & Out Stitched Oval STAX). The outer stamps are just clear heat embossed with Versamark ink. It’s always so surprising to see how much bolder clear heat embossing looks! I’ll be playing with this kit a couple more times before the April My Monthly Hero kit arrives!

Devyn: I like how you can make this frame look either like an aquarium or a fish tank. I chose a spacious looking fish tank. I used My Favorite Things Lush Lagoon for a cardstock base and I heat embossed the sentiment from the set with Nuvo Glacier White fine detail embossing powder. I die cut the frame and colored each part of the frame with Copic markers. The seaweed is G14, Coral R35, Starfish YR23, Coral RV04, and the Tank is C7. I used Gina K Designs Dye in for the crab is Red Velvet, Seahorse sweet corn, and Fish lovely lavender.

I started with a Gina K Designs Kraft cardstock base and die cut Lawn Fawn Quilted Backdrop out of My Favorite Things Chocolate Brown for a wallpaper look. I like the look of my plant shelves card so much I put the floors in this one as well! The floor is Penny Black Wood Floors on My Favorite Things Natural and Black Licorice for the baseboard so it would stand out. Since these plants have fine detail, I didn’t shade or any of that. I used E35, G43, G24 YR27 and YR23. I finished off by stamping the sentiment from the set on Kraft and die cut it out with Lawn Fawn Small Dotted Rectangle Stackables.

Lori: Hero Arts always make such fun stamps! I love this set of potted plants. Next, I cut a layer with Altenew Cross Stitch Canvas in My Favorite Things Grout Gray. I Cut the little picture frame with Lawn Fawn Mini Picture Frames in a scrap of black cardstock and stamped the middle and the plants on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80#. I colored the plants and pots with these Copic Markers: BG09, BG13, BG15, BG93, BG96, BG99, E07, E09, E11, E13, E15, E25, E27, E40, E42, G03, G05, YG6 &, YG63

Saturday – Day 89 – Concord & 9th – Pretty Poppy

Lori: One thing I miss about living in California is the state flower. Sometimes there’s a little pop of orange here or there, and other times, there are entire fields of bright sunshine. This stamp set is an excellent ode to my home state. I began with a Gina K Designs Tangerine Twist cardstock base, and stamped on a piece of neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80# cardstock cut with a My Favorite Things A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX set #1 die. I stamped the poppies and sentiment with Gina K Designs Jet Black Amalgam ink and colored with Copic markers Y18, YR16, YR07, G21, and G24.

Devyn: I love this poppy set from Concord & 9th! Super easy to follow with their brochures from their website. I used My Favorite Things Black Licorice for my cardstock base and stamped The Ton Polka Dot Background with Hero Arts Unicorn Pigment ink. I used the die set to cut the poppy, stem, and leaves from My Favorite Things Poppy for the poppy, Green Room for the stem, and Black Licorice for the center. To finish off, I heat embossed ‘much love’ from the stamp set with Nuvo Classic Gold Detail Embossing Powder.

Friday – Day 88 – Simon Says Stamp – Flower Explosion Background Stamp & CZ Designs Thanks Layered Die

Lori: I love the look of coloring in Copic markers on Kraft cardstock. This stamp is perfect for that. I stamped the background with Gina K Designs Jet Black Amalgam ink on a 5¼’ x 4” piece of Gina K Designs Kraft cardstock and colored with the following Copic markers: BG93, G21, YG91, RV32, R83, V22, Y02, and YR21. I glued this piece to a GKD Kraft cardstock base, then cut my new favorite “Thanks” die from CZ Designs and Simon Says Stamp in Kraft background and GKD Innocent Pink.

Devyn: This background stamp is so much fun! This is great for a ton of different occasions and can be used in many different ways. I started with a Gina K Designs Slate cardstock base and heat embossed it Altenew Golden Peach Embossing powder. The die cut is Simon Says Stamp and CZ Design Thanks layered die the thanks backdrop is Slate and I brought back the DCWV Shimmer Neutrals mat stack for the ‘thanks’.

Thursday – Day 87 – Altenew – Watercolor Doodles

Devyn: These Altenew arty layering stamps are super fun! At first, these didn’t make sense to me and then I looked them up and I realized they’re meant to be a bit off. I started with a Gina K Designs Innocent Pink cardstock base. The flowers are Sunray, Limeade, Cotton Candy, and Firefly Altenew Dye Inks. The ‘Thanks a Bunch’ sentiment is from Altenew Label Love English inked with Altenew Aqualicious dye ink.

Lori: I love the way this layers freeform, making it a breeze to stamp. I decided to keep this card simple, inspired by one of the samples that comes in the set. I used Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80# for the stamped layer, and used Altenew ink colors: Jet Black, Firefly, Wisteria, and Hydrangea. The sentiment is from Altenew Label Love Italian and means “Thanks a lot” or “A thousand thank yous.” I added a few little Indigo Eclipse Nuvo Dream Drops. I think that it looks more purple than Fairy Wings. The colors of these new iridescent versions of Nuvo drops are not as intense as some of the images online appear. They’re very muted colors. I added the stamped layer to a Gina K Designs Wild Lilac cardstock base. Super simple and quick!
