Devyn: Here’s another Marianne Designs die set, this is my second favorite set. These are just so cute and sweet. You can build these birds in a variety of ways. I used Gina K Applemint for my base. I stamped The Ton Haute Stripes with Gina K Applemint ink for a tone on tone look. I die cut My Favorite Things Stitched Mini Scallop Oval Stacks in Gina K Ivory layering weight. I used various scraps from my scrap basket to piece the bird together.
Lori: These sweet Marianne Designs Eline’s Birds dies make a perfect Anniversary card! I used My Favorite Things Green-Eyed Monster (retired color) for the base, then cut a mat with the same color and another mat in Gina K Designs Blue Lagoon with Avery Elle Oval Burst die. I cut an oval from My Favorite Things Blue Breeze for the center. I used scraps of Gina K Designs & My Favorite Things cardstock for the birds. The sentiment Strip is My Favorite Things Fishtail Flag Trio cut from My Favorite Things Blue Breeze and the sentiment is stamped with The Stamps of Life’s Happy Anniversary stamp set with Versafine Onyx Black.
Lori: I love Marianne Designs Dies. It’s a company based in The Netherlands, so they’re a challenge to find in the US. We get them from Budly Crafts at a very reasonable price and excellent shipping rates. They’re also just as fast as some US companies! I started with a base of Gina K Designs Gumdrop Green cardstock then added a mat with Altenew Striped Leaf Backdrop on Gina K Designs Jelly Bean Green. The Toucan was cut with a bunch of scrap cardstock. The sentiment is Sunny Studios Hello die cut from a random scrap of orange cardstock.
Devyn: I really like Marianne Design dies, they’re very unique and great if you like puzzles. As you can see over the next few days, we use her other dies. I started with a My Favorite Things Jellybean Green cardstock base. I stamped the Hero Arts Tropical Foliage Bold Prints with Gina K Fresh Asparagus for the patterned background. I used scraps to piece together the toucan, branch, and leaves. I stamped the sentiment Ink Blot Shop Tiny Bubbles on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80# Scrap and fussy cut it out.
Our coordinating colors were unintentional! 😀 It wasn’t until We took the photos we realized.
Devyn: Graduation season is coming up and I wanted to be prepared so I could just write a note and give it. I started with a Gina K Blue Denim card base. Next, I used Avery Elle Oval Burst in Gina K Wild Dandelion. I used our Silhouette Cameo to cut the coffee cup (199231) using Gina K Slate, Wild Dandelion, and Kraft and I used My Favorite Things Natural. I printed then cut the banner (53915) in Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80#.
Lori: This is such a fun graduation card from the Silhouette Design Store! I used the Graduation card with Brainy Yak file – Design Store ID #199228 by Lettering Delights I started with a base cut from Gina K Designs Wild Dandelion cardstock, then added a layer of Gina K Designs Blue denim cut with the My Favorite Things Stitched Mod Rectangle Stax. I then ran the piece through the die cut machine with Lawn Fawn Itsy Bitsy Polka Dot Backdrop die. I used several colors of cardstock for the Yak & sentiment: My Favorite Things Grout Gray and Cement Gray, Gina K Designs Stormy Sky, Slate, Black Onyx, Dusty Rose, and Wild Dandelion.
Lori: My second Silhouette Design Store single cut design is this Get Well Soon – Design Store ID #178702 by SAS Creative I started with a base in My Favorite Things Ripe Raspberry, then used a yellow piece from the DCWV Brights 6×6 cardstock stack cut with Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Square Stackables for the mat. The design is cut from Gina K Designs Dusty Rose cardstock. It needed to be resized to fit an A2 sized card. I had to turn the blade up to 8, the force to 33, speed to 1, and double cut. Some of the designs still didn’t look right, so I just cut those pieces off.
Devyn: I love Llamas and this cut file is adorable! I love how quirky the design is. I used 131897 to cut this card with our Silhouette Cameo. The Llama is cut from Gina K Skeleton Leaves. The backdrop is Gina K Dark Sage and I just adhered them together. Just 2 cuts, super simple!
Devyn: This card is actually on the smaller size. It’s super cute and easy to make! I used Neenah White Gold Metallic to cut 268405. The liner is Gina K Sea Glass. I cut the ‘Just Because’ from Gina K Stormy Sky. That’s it, just 3 cuts! I might make a set of these for gifts.
Lori: I always want to make pop up cards, but something keeps holding me back. I think I’ll try more of these cut files and then start creating my own. It was much easier to do than I expected. I used the Silhouette Design Store file Pop Up Card Congrats – Design Store ID #223497 from Lori Whitlock – this file has an envelope that the card can fit in – often, her envelopes don’t match the card sizes in her cut files, and that can be frustrating. You can make sure they fit by paying the card files over the envelope file to see if it needs resizing. The envelope in this file could have been a tad longer, but it barely fits. Anyway, I used My Favorite Things Lemon Drop for the base and Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80# for the inside. I used a random scrap of patterned paper for the front on a Gina K Designs Blue Lagoon mat. The Stamp Market You’re Amazing die was cut in the same Blue Lagoon and Wild Dandelion.
Lori: The Silhouette Design Store has so many of these single-cut designs. I really love the look, but they can be tricky to cut well. This is the Happy Anniversary Split Title – Design Store ID #64100 by Jennifer Wambach. I resized to fit on the front of an A2 sized card. I cut on Gina K Designs Blue Lagoon cardstock & had to set the blade to 8, depth to 33, speed to 1 and double cut. Before adding it to the card, I sprayed it with Imagine Crafts Shimmer Spritz. I cue a base in the same Blue Lagoon cardstock, and cut a mat with Gina K Designs layering weight Ivory using My Favorite Things A2 Stitched Rectangle Stax set 1.
Devyn: I love this card from Lori Whitlock and this tulip card is a really cheerful. This is great for Anniversaries, Get Wells or just an encouragement card. I used a Gina K 120# Ivory for the base. I used Gina K Limelight for the stems, Dusty Rose for the light pink tulips, and My Favorite Things Wild Cherry for the flower and bow. For the sentiment I used The Stamps of Life – Happy Anniversary with Gina K Slate Dye Ink.
Devyn: This is the cutest little card! I love the little paw prints and I haven’t made many of these gatefold cards but I really like this. I used Neenah Desert Storm for the base of 138929 . I had plenty of scrap leftover Paw Print patterned paper that I thought would look really cute with this. I used Gina K Stormy Sky for the paws and used My Favorite Things New Best Friend to stamp a sentiment for the inside.
Lori: I wanted to make a really simple new pet card, so I used a file from the Silhouette Design Store for the focal point – the Love Paw – Design Store ID #13293 by Snapdragon Snippets. I cut the base, sentiment strip. and paw shadow from Gina K Designs Kraft. I cut the mat from Gina K Designs Blue Denim with Avery Elle Quilted Frame. The paw is cut from Gina K Designs Black Onyx and My Favorite Things Wild Cherry. The sentiment is from the My Favorite Things New Best Friend stamp set.
Lori: This card is HUGE! It’s too big for a #10, so you have a make one if you’re going to send it/ It wouldn’t need a mailing envelope if you hand it to someone in person. This is a Silhouette Design Store file – Pocket Insert Telephone Box – Design ID #246664 by Alaa’ K I used My Favorite Things Wild Cherry cardstock for most of this, and some Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80# and Gina K Designs Black Onyx. The knob is Nuvo Crystal Drops Liquid Mercury.
Devyn: This is a really beautiful cut file (181783) and I’m really glad we got this! This is super simple and there are more in the Silhouette Design Store with different sentiments with ‘smile’ or ‘baby’, so these are super versatile and great for any occasion! Since the ‘hello’ flourish is so delicate, I decided to go with a super heavy duty cardstock and I used Gina K Designs Ivory 120#, it was still super delicate to peel off the mat but it didn’t put up too much of a fight :D. For the underlayer, I used Gina K Lemon Drop. I used the same Ivory for the base so it’s super sturdy. I love how elegant this and it’s super simple!
Devyn: At first I was a little hesitant about making this because I thought it was tricky but once I made this it was super fun and relaxing. I had made the ‘Get Well Soon’ for a different card that didn’t work out. The Flag is Gina K Sea Glass and the ‘Get Well Soon’ Stormy Sky. I used Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80# for the base with 260981. I cut Gina K Sweet Mango for the backdrop. I folded and tucked while watching a show. I’m looking forward to making more of these.
Lori: This was a really fun little card to make! It’s from the Silhouette Store – Get Well Soon Fold & Tuck Card – Design ID #260975 by Alaa’ K. I cut the base in Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80# cardstock. The fold & tuck was really relaxing to do. I made the insert in GIna K Designs Dusty Rose and the sentiment in Onyx Black with the Pretty Pink Posh Get Well Soon die.
Lori: I love the look of this cutout flower. Adding two colors under the white piece is just so pretty. The file I used from the Silhouette Store is the Cutout Flower Card – Design ID #40473 by Alaa’ K. I used Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80# Cardstock for the cutout piece, Gina K Designs Seaglass for the insert, and Gina K Designs Limelight for the center. I used the same colors to cut the sentiment with Poppy Stamps Little Halo Hello die.
Devyn: This card or sleeve(?) is just flat adorable! I love these flamingos and they’re perfect for anniversaries. This was easier to put together than I thought it would be. I used the Silhouette file 136061. The Sleeve is Gina K Designs Ivory 120#, Flamingos Dusty Rose, Heart My Favorite Things Ripe Raspberry, and the Beak and Eyes are Gina K Designs Stormy Sky. The watercolor dots is from my scrap bin. I die the ‘happy anniversary’ from Lawn Fawn ‘Happy Anniversary Border in the Ripe Raspberry.
