Saturday April 20 – Day 110 – The Stamps of Life ‘Happy Anniversary’

Lori: For a 25th anniversary, I wanted to make sure to get some silver in there! As you can tell by now, I like to stay neutralish in designing anniversary cards. So many I see are so feminine focused, but I like to include elements that don’t intimidate husbands! This base is from Gina K Designs Soft Stone cardstock. I made a mat layer from DCWV Shimmer Neutrals Mat stack Black, and then used ‘That Folder’ – you know, the one that came with a craft magazine a few years ago and everyone loved? I believe it’s being sold finally under the Apple Blossom brand. I have no interest in their variations on this embossing folder, but I am still very much in love with this one! I embossed it on Neenah Metallic Chalice Silver and cut The Stamps  Of Life Anniversary layered die on the Shimmer black for the background and the Neenah Chalice Silver for the words.

Devyn: We were running extremely low of Anniversary cards, so this week we are focusing on replenishing and sending some out. Since things have been crazy around here, I really like keeping things extremely simple. I started with a Gina K Designs Charcoal Brown cardstock base. Next, I used We R Memory Keepers Woodgrain Embossing Folder on My Favorite Things Grout Gray. To finish off, I cut the ‘Happy Anniversary’ from scraps from our scrap basket.
