Thursday – Day 73 – Lawn Fawn – A Birdie Told Me

Devyn: We’re going really simple this week and did I keep it simple! I used a Gina K Designs Ocean Mist cardstock base. I die cut the tree branch using My Favorite Things Tree Branch with My Favorite Things Brown Paper Bag and the leaves with Gina K Designs Fresh Asparagus. I stamped the birds with Gina K Designs Jet Black Amalgam ink and used Copic Markers and did extremely basic coloring. For the orange bird, I used YR04 and YR07 for his beak Y11. I went even simpler on the bluebird using B37 for his body and YR04 for the beak. I used the speech bubbles from the set and die cut them out and for the sentiment, I used Ink Blot Shop Tiny Bubbles.

Lori: After a few days off for a bad foot (autoimmune issues that lead to more tests but no results yet!), I’m playing catch-up on cards, so keeping them simple. I like the smaller Lawn Fawn sets because they are easy to just make simple scenes with. I colored as simply as possible and die cut what I could. My cardstock choices: My Favorite Things Pineapple base, the brilliant blue sky – MFT Lush Lagoon, and random scraps for everything else. The sentiment if from Honey Bee Stamps – Hooray for You! Stamp set. The clouds are MFT Stitched Cloud Edges, the hill is from MFT Spring Scene Builder, and the tree is from MFT Tree-mendous.
