… And DAY 28 THE DAILY MARKER 30 DAY COLORING CHALLENGE
Devyn: As you can tell from our blog we love coffee! I’m trying to get more variety in designing my anniversary cards and I thought this was a cute idea. First, I started with a Gina K Designs Chocolate Truffle cardstock base (yay new!) and a scrap piece of coffee bean paper for a cute layer. Next, I used Lawn Fawn Fancy Scalloped Circle Stackables to die cut a layer for my cups on Gina K. Designs Fresh Asparagus cardstock. I stamped the 1st mug in Gina K Designs Chocolate Truffle Amalgam ink and colored them using Copic Markers. I used E50 for the lid, C1 and C00 for the cup and, E43 for the sleeve. For the 2nd cup, I stamped it in Gina K Designs Jet Black Amalgam ink and used same C1 and C00 for the cup and E43 for the sleeve. Lastly, I brought back the Fresh Asparagus and stamped the coffee beans on each side in Chocolate Truffle and the Sentiment in Jet Black.
Lori: If you haven’t noticed yet, we really love coffee around here! This stamp set is one of several coffee themed sets we have. Gina K Designs has some pretty amazing products, including this little set. I cut them out with the Brother ScanNCut. I made a base from Gina’s Honey Mustard cardstock, then cut a mat from the new Chocolate Truffle cardstock using My Favorite Things A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX set 2 and then used Memorybox Large Circle Burst to resemble the morning sun shining through the card. The sentiment was also stamped with Chocolate Truffle Amalgam ink.

…And DAY 23 THE DAILY MARKER 30 DAY COLORING CHALLENGE
We’re part of a small card swap group that has two monthly challenges. We bowed out of the experienced cardmaker challenge this time (we’re already a little swamped!), but we did the beginner challenge for a shadow card with ink blended background. Here are our swap cards for the month.
Lori:This was my first time trying the Northern Lights with Distress Oxides. I made the aurora on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80# cardstock with Distress Oxides in these colors: Chipped Sapphire, Seedless Preserves, Salty Ocean and Pistachio. For the shimmery starry sky look, I sprayed Imagine Crafts Shimmer Spritz lightly over the blended background. I added this to a GKD Plum Punch cardstock base. Devyn: I haven’t done many Distress Oxide backgrounds before (this is probably my third one) but this was super easy! They don’t take long to do and they blend really fast. I started off with Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80# cardstock and blended Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade, Fired Brick, and Seedless Preserve Distress Oxide inks. I used My Favorite Things Beach scene die set to cut the ocean with the DCWV Glitzy Glitter 6×6 Cardstock Stack and the sand with Gina K Black Onyx cardstock. I added a shiny effect to the sand with Nuvo Midas Touch Aqua Shimmer Pen. From the same die set, I cut the sun from Gina K Designs Lemon Drop cardstock and the palm tree from Black Onyx. The sentiment is from Honey Bee Blah Blah Blah, I heat embossed that using Nuvo Glacier White Fine Detail. I adhered it all to a My Favorite Things Paver Red cardstock base.
