Day 50 Card A Day 2019: Gerda Steiner Llama Tell You

Lori: I love how versatile this set is. I love the cute llamas, but these armadillos caught my eye today. I started with a Gina K Designs Dark Chocolate base, then took a piece of GKD Sandy Beach and used Gina’s Gauze background stamp with Kraft ink for the layer. I cut that piece out with Lawn Fawn Small Dotted Rectangle Stackables. I then cut another layer from Dark CHocolate, and a piece of GKD Layering Ivory for the stamped layer. I stamped the scene with Gina K Designs Amalgam Jet Black ink, then  colored with the following Copic markers: E31 & E33 for the dirt, YR24 for the weeds, YG95, YG97, G05 & G07 for the cacti, RV11 for the flowers, and C1, C3 & C5 for the armadillos.

Devyn: I love Llamas! I started with a My Favorite Things Steel Grey base and the patterned paper is from the Craft Smith Llama Love paper stack. I cut the sentiments that came with the set out with My Favorite Things Essential Fishtail Sentiment Strips. I used Copic Markers to color the Llama E33, E35, E50, and E51 and cut it out with scan and cut. I brought back the Steel Grey for the Memory Box Stitched frame and I used Gina K Designs Layering Ivory for the center. It was an extremely simple card and could be made in 15 minutes.

  1. These are adorable. I haven’t seen them stamps before. Are they MFT? You both did such a good job designing and coloring!
