Day 55 Card A Day 2019: My Favorite Things You Make My Tail Wag

…And DAY 24 THE DAILY MARKER 30 DAY COLORING CHALLENGE

Devyn: I really like the dogs in this set, they’re just so cute and have such funny expressions on their faces. I started with a Gina K Designs Red Hot cardstock base. Next, I stamped Concord & 9th Stripes and Sayings on My Favorite Things Blue Breeze and used WOW Super Fine Clear to heat emboss the stripes. From the same set, I stamped the dashes in between the stripes with Gina K Designs Jet Black Amalgam Ink. I used Copic Markers to color the hydrant and the dog. The hydrant is R29 and the dog’s body is E50, the eye patch E55 and the nose is N4. I brought back Red Hot and die cut it with My Favorite Things STAX Stitched Mini Scallop Square and used the die My Favorite Things Die-namics Inside & out Stitched Square STAX on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80#. Lastly, I stamped the sentiment from the set on Red Hot and die cut it out with Concord & 9th Holly Jolly Banner.

Lori: I always hear crafty friends say they have a hard time with masculine cards. I think it’s easy for me because I prefer a lot less ruffles and fluff, and gravitate toward more neutral, earthy colors and styles. I decided to use that with this card. I started with a My Favorite Things Steel Gray base, Then used MFT Blue Yonder for a mat with the Altenew Classy Stripes stencil using Faded Jeans Distress Oxide. I cut a window in it with Gina Marie Designs Double Stitched Inside & Out Circle, I used the same die to cut the inside of the circle by taping a piece of MFT Blue Yonder to a piece of Gina k Designs Asparagus together. I stamped the Sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black. The dog and house were stamped on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80# and colored with the following Copic markers: E42, E43, W0, W1 and RV93 for the dog, and B91, B91, C5, C9 & W8 for the dog house.
